An analog alarm clock has a main board (10), a working bridge (12), a second hand wheel (14), a minute hand wheel (15), an hour hand wheel (16), an alarm clock hand wheel (17) and an alarm contact arrangement which has an alarm contact plate (22) which is matched to a lower surface of the alarm clock hand wheel in order to track the movement of the alarm clock hand wheel, an hour contact plate (32) which is matched to the upper surface of the hour hand wheel in order to track the movement of the hour hand wheel, a retaining spring (27) which slides on the upper surface of the hour contact plate in order to press the latter constantly against the alarm contact plate, and an alarm spring (21) which presses against the lower surface of the alarm contact plate in order to press the alarm contact plate constantly against the hour contact plate. In this arrangement, an alarm operation is triggered as a consequence of the electric line which results from contact between a contact section on the hour contact plate and a contact section on the alarm contact plate.
