The circuit, pref. a digital signal regenerator can operate in the presence of considerable amplitude variations without the use of differentiation and at low cost. The signal inp(01)t (e) is fed to an amplifier's positive input and the input of a comparator (02) whose output provides the circuit output signal (a). The amplifier output (v) is fed back to its inverting input via a parallel complementary pair of diodes (D1,D2) and is also connected to the remaining comparator input. The inverting amplifier's input is also grounded via a charging capacitor (c). The diode pair, which may be formed by base-collector paths of complementary transistors, has an extremely short switching characteristic.
|
