Method for moving out and setting down a building block module, in particular a prefabricated garage, borne by an engaging support, from a loading surface at an installation site taking up at most that height that is reached by the top of the building block module as maximum height when moving out the building block module from the loading surface with a small degree of lifting of the building block module. The building block module is moved out at least along the sub-area of the moving-out path by a sequence of swivel movements of different successive lever elements of the holder which take up at most the aforesaid maximum height. A corresponding vehicle for supporting and installing building block modules, in particular prefabricated garages, has an extension arm which forms a sequence of at least two levers which can be swivelled in relation to one another and of which at least one can be swivelled in relation to the vehicle, it being possible to adjust the projection of the extension arm by swivelling the levers while taking up at most the aforesaid maximum height. <IMAGE>
