Centralised clock system using transmitted pulse code signal - has storage register at display point storing all time units except shortest

The system has the time information transmitted continuously from a central control clock to a number of display points, each with a digital or analogue display which is indexed intermittently. The time information is transmitted as a pulse code signal. At least on of the display points provides a full display incorporating the year, month, week, day, hour etc. up the the smallest time unit provided by the transmitted time information. This display point incorporates a buffer register for processing the time information and a storage register which has sufficient capacity to store all the time units except the smallest. The time display is designed for reduced complexity and cost.PS.
