An inner lining for an open hearth is made from relatively thin chimney bricks made of refractory material, and the bricks are held together in the horizontal joints by tongue and groove connections, a metal band being used as tongue. As a result, bricking up of the inner lining, which instead is prefabricated, is rendered unnecessary. The invention relates to both a method and a chimney brick. |
