PURPOSE:To enable to previously prevent a serious accident, by a method wherein a poor condition due to a vacuum breakdown in a vacuum valve is detected through the mounting of a gas detection relay at a receptacle wherein a changeover switch is housed. CONSTITUTION:An on-load tap changer (LTC) tank 21 is mounted at a side wall of a transformer tank 20, and an LTC is installed at a partition between the tank 20 and the tank 21. In the LTC, a tap selector 22 and a changeover switch 23 are housed in the same tank 24. Terminals are located at the tank 20 side of the LTC, and the terminals are coupled to a transformer winding 25 and a current limiting reactor 26. Meanwhile, a gas detection relay 28 is placed on the tank 21. This consititution permits a poor vacuum in a vacuum valve to be perceived through the detection of gas generated from the contact of the selector 22 by means of a detector 28. |
