PURPOSE:To perform an automatically resetting operation of a converter by recovering the shortcircuit of a power source by the firing of a thyristor converter by detecting the shortcircuit of the power source at the time of shortcircuitting the power source and thereafter limiting the control delay angle so as not to become lower than the prescribed time and value. CONSTITUTION:When a signal is produced from a detector 21 at the time of shortcircuitting a power source, a delay circuit 22 produces a signal, which is fed through a logic OR circuit 23 to switching circuits 6, 7, which thus select the signal of a bias setting unit 8 to gate-shift so that the firing delay angles of the converters 1, 2 thus conducted become sufficiently large value to apply them to automatic pulse phase shifters 11, 12. Thus, the current of the shortcircuitting circuit can be abruptly vanished. In this manner, the power shortcircuit can be recovered, and the signal of the detector 21 is vanished, but the delay circuit 22 thereafter continues to produce the prescribed time signal, thereby effectively recovering it. |
