<p>PURPOSE:To enable the dark current component to be detected with high accuracy, and produce a color resolution filter rationally and cheaply by forming a transparent inorganic layer on a smooth organic layer, and continuously providing optical blacks on the transparent inorganic layer. CONSTITUTION:A color resolution filter layer 2 formed on a transparent base plate 1 is smoothened by forming a smooth organic layer 16 on the layer 2. After a transparent inorganic layer 17 is formed on the layer 16, a metal film 20B' is formed on the layer 17 through a continuous sputtering, or a continuous vapor-deposition method etc. without taking it out into the atmosphere. After that, the film 20B' formed over the base plate 1 is taken out of a device in which the film 20B' is formed etching is performed on it, thereby optical blacks 20B being provided. A transparent electrode 4 and a photoconductive film 7 are formed over thus prepared color resolution filter to obtain an image pickup tube. By the above mentioned means, the optical blacks 20B, which are made to approach the electrode 4, can be continuously formed without causing adherence of any water, dust or the like existing in the atmosphere. Consequently, the color resolution filter, which can detect the dark current component with high accuracy, can be rationally produced.</p> |
