PURPOSE:To enhance the liquid-leakage resistance of a small sealed battery, which is sealed by interposing a gasket between the sealing parts of a negative and a positive can, by providing a convex part on one of the former sealing parts, and making the gasket to be compressed with a given compressibility. CONSTITUTION:A positive tablet agent 5, a separator 4 and the like are placed in a positive can 2. A negative can 1' is attached inside the can 2 by interposing a gasket 3' between the cans 1' and 2. After that, a peripheral part 2a of the can 2 is bent inward to compress the gasket 3' and to seal the battery, thereby a small sealed battery being constituted. Here, the periphery of the can 1' which presses the gasket 3' is provided with a convex part 1a', and the compressibility of a compressed side wall 3a' of the gasket 3' is 40-80%. The convex part 1a' may be provided on the positive can 2. The gasket 3' is preferred to be made of nylon 66. |
