PURPOSE:To stably feed out a transfer material irrespective of its thickness, by varying an admission angle and a press-contact position of a transfer material against a photosensitive body, and passage space of the transfer material in the guide, in accordance with the thickness of the transfer material. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material feed-out guide consists of a pair of upper and lower guide plates 16a, and 16b, and the middle part of the upper guide plate 16a and one end of the lower guide plate 16b are installed to the device body by a shaft 17 and a shaft 18, respectively, so as to be turned freely. To these shafts 17 and 18, turning force is given from a driving source, and for instance, one roller 9a a pair of guide rollers 9 constituting a part of a transfer material carrying passage is made freely near and far against the other roller 9b, and thickness of a transfer material 5 is detected by the extent of far and near movement of the roller 9a due to thikness of the passing transfer material 5. In accordance with this detection signal, the transfer material feed-out guides 16a, and 16b are changed and controlled in accordance with thickness of the transfer material so that they are positioned at a full line position and a chain line position in case of thin paper and thick paper, respectively. |
