PURPOSE:To prepare the titled polymer suitable as a binder of heat-resistant and flame-resistant paint, coating agent, etc., by reacting a specific phosphazene oligomer with an alcohol in the presence of a tert-amine and water as a crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:The phosphazene polymer of formula IV (l is 2-19) is prepared by reacting (A) a cyclic phosphazene oligomer of formulaI(X is halogen; m is 3-20) (e.g. the compound of formula II, etc.) and/or a linear oligomer of formula III (n is >=2) with (B) one or more alcohols of formula ROH (R is 1-12C alkyl, aryl etc.) e.g. n-propyl alcohol, using (C) a tert-amine such as pyridine as a hydrogen halide receptor and (D) water as a crosslinking agent. |
