PURPOSE:To write a transferred character pattern in a character pattern memory without rearranging it through software, etc., by transferring a character pattern sequence, restored in a four-bit and a prescribed-bit shift register, to the memory each time a prescribed number of shift pulses are generated. CONSTITUTION:A character pattern converted into a transfer code is inputted to a 4-bit shift register circuit 506 by a data set signal and at the same time, the quad counter of a quad counter circuit 503 is reset to open the gate of a gate circuit 501, thereby supplying a clock to circuits 502, 503, 505, and 506. Then, when the contents of the shift registers of eight-bit shift register circuits 505 and 506 are shifted in response to every clock and four clocks are inputted, the quad counter 503 stops, so that a following input transfer code is shifted into a register 505 similarly. |
