PURPOSE:To scan exactly and to read at an exact position, by providing a means for carrying a sheet at a constant speed, and a means for moving a main scanning means, and moving the main scanning means by only a difference between a scanning speed and a carrying speed of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Driving rollers 2, 3 are driven by a motor 13 of a facsimile transmitter, an original 1 is carried at a constant speed, and the original 1 is scanned by a main scanning unit 15. This unit 15 is moved by a pulse motor 22 driven by an output of a driving circuit 21 of the pulse motor. Timing of a read operation of an image pickup element 8 of this unit 15 is controlled by an output of a read timing circuit 23, and also the driving circuit is controlled by an output which has passed through a counter 18, a latch 19 and an ROM20. Also, the counter 18 and the latch 19 are controlled by output timing of the circuit 23. In this way, the unit 15 is moved by only a difference between a carrying speed of the original 1 and a scanning speed, and the original is scanned exactly and is read at an exact position. |
