<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from running beyond control in a section where a playback control (CTL) signal is not recorded, by bringing the tape under constant-rotation using a frequency signal through a signal selecting circuit when the CTL signal is ceased during the high-speed run of the tape. CONSTITUTION:In high-speed playback mode, a playback CTL signal detected by a CTL head 5 is amplified by a CTL amplifier 6 and, while supplied to a voltage comparator 11 forming a drive control circuit 20 through the 1st frequency/voltage converter 8A, it is supplied to a signal selecting circuit 14 through an amplifier 13A. The voltage comparator 11 is applied with a reference voltage from a reference power source 12 and, when the 1st voltage signal drops below the reference voltage, operation control is exercised over the signal selecting circuit 14 to supply the 1st voltage signal to a motor driving circuit 9. A signal from a frequency generator 7, which generates a signal having a frequency proportional to the rotational frequency of a take-up side tape reel 4, is supplied to the 2nd frequency/voltage converter 8B and in a section where the CTL signal is not recorded, the 2nd voltage signal is selected and supplied to the motor driving circuit 9.</p> |
