PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium which has a curl-free ferromagnetic thin film, by using a previously curved non-magnetic base. CONSTITUTION:So that the force of deformation occurring when a ferromagnetic thin film is formed by vapor deposition, ion plating, sputtering, etc., cancels the curvature of a nonmagnetic base to flatten it, the ferromagnetic thin film is formed on the nonmagnetic base curved in the opposite direction previously, thus forming a magnetic recording medium. |
