PURPOSE:To achieve flashing display on a television monitor screen, by providing a video disk reproducing device with a controller which operates a reproduction mode and a circuit which generates a flashing display signal in specific mode. CONSTITUTION:For flashing display during still mode reproduction from a disk on which two frames are recorded in each turn, a video signal from a terminal and a control signal, held at a level ''High'' in still reproduction mode or at a level ''Low'' in other modes, from a terminal 2 are supplied to a synchronous separating circuit 10 respectively to perform synchronous separating operation only in still mode. The vertical position of flashing display on a screen is determined by counters 12 and 13, a vertical synchronous separating circuit 11, and a JK flip-flop 14, and the horizontal position and width is determined by monostable multivibrators 15 and 16. With an index signal from a terminal 3, a counter 18 outputs a control signal which has desired time width to gate pulses H and J, and consequently the flashing display is obtained on the screen by the output of a gate circuit 17. |
