PURPOSE:To obtain a thin metallic film type magnetic recording medium which has high sensitivity, by making a magnetic field A, having the maximum differential value of an initial magnetization curve, less than a magnetic field B which has the maximum differential value of a hysteresis curve. CONSTITUTION:When a material such as Co and CoNi is vapor-deposited, the amount of introduced O2 is varied to make a magnetic field A at the peak position of the differential curve 5' of an initial magnetization curve 1' less than a magnetic field B at the peak position of the differential curve 5'' of a hysteresis curve 1''. |
