PURPOSE:To attain accurate floppy disk FD read without error by outputting the result of ambient temperature of a floppy disk driver FDD detected by a temperature sensor onto a display device. CONSTITUTION:A means 7 sensing the ambient temperature of an FDD, a display device displaying the sensed result and a switch means 3 giving a read permission are provided. In starting the operation at a temperature lower than the operating temperature range of the FDD 6, when the changeover switch 3 is thrown to a position where the state is not instantly read and the power is applied, the temperature sensing means 7 detects the temperature of the FDD 6 to be within the operating temperature range due to the internal temperature rise after a while and the display device 11 displays the result. Then the changeover switch 3 is thrown to the position where the state is read immediately, then the read of the FD 5 is applied normally. |
