PURPOSE:To enable printing with favorable sharpness and high resolution to be performed even on rough papers, by composing a transfer layer of two layers, forming a first transfer layer from an ink comprising a wax as a main binder and a resin as another binder, and forming a second transfer layer by using a wax and a resin as binders so that the proportion of the resin in the binders is higher than that in the first layer and the second layer is thinner than the first layer. CONSTITUTION:On a base 1, a first transfer layer 2a is formed from a heat- fusible ink comprising a wax as a main binder and having a low melting point so that the layer can be easily released from the base at the time of transferring. A second transfer layer 2b is so provided that the proportion of a resin in binders is higher than that in the first layer 2a, thereby enhancing the viscoelasticity upon melting, and the second layer 2b is thinner than the first layer 2a, thereby ensuring sharp-cut properties of the second layer 2b. The wax may be a natural wax, a synthetic wax or the like, and the resin may be a low molecular weight polyethylene, an ethylene-vinyl acetate compolymer or the like. |
