Roller test facility for motor vehicles and chassis - has roller elements which are independently movable both in translation and in rotation

A test facility for determining the serviceability of motor vehicles or chassis parts enables operating loadings to be simulated by placing the wheels of the vehicle on a roller with a drive and braking system. It is improved compared to similar devices so that integrated simulation of different types of loading situation can be performed, thus enabling extremely realistic vehicle testing. Each wheel has a separate roller (1,2,3,4) whose position in space is variable independently of the remaining rollers. Each roller element is mounted on two or more separate controllably movable support elements enabling it to be moved in translation in at least two mutually independent directions. Each roller element has a flat running surface and can be rotated about an approximately vertical axis.
