<p>The appts. is used for transporting one or more elongated loads esp. canoes, rowing boats, diving support boats or surfboards. It has a framework comprising a continuous upper portion (1) with a three-leaved-clover outline, viz. horizontal rounded loops (3,4) to right and left and a vertical one (2) in between, plus an open-ended lower portion. The lower portion is formed by extensions (6,6') from the upper- portion base crossbars (8,8') bent downwards to form struts for an axle (9) at their lower ends. That axle, substantially parallel with the horizontal loops, carries one or two broad-treaded, pneumatic-tyred wheels (10).</p> |
