<p>The chipping device has several chipping tools driven in a vertical container. A bottom plate (22) of the container is inclined to the vertical, and the tools (34) can be mounted in a direction parallel to the bottom plate, aligned in rows in the movement direction. The container wall (20) adjacent to the lower end of theinclined bottom plate has apertures (32) for the tools. A sensor (50) responds to the chipping tools operation at excessive and/or too low movement resistance, and the operational direction of the drive can be reversed for a short time period by the sensor output signal. This may take place via a low speed clock pulse generator circuit. The drive reversing signal may be masked by a circuit, under control of another sensor, responsive to a reverse run of the chipping tools. The short time period may be determined by a monostable timing element.</p> |
