The double-wall plastics panels (1) have vertical partitions (2) between the inner and outer skins, forming hollow, square-section vertical cells (7). Brackets (3c) can be attached to the panels for use as supports for pipes, cables etc., or for clamping two panels together to form a butt joint. When used for a joint, the bracket can form a connection to e.g. a vertical angle (20), forming part of a supporting structure. The bracket has two parallel slots (23) into which are inserted two prongs (25) of a U-shaped locking member (26). All types of supports or brackets include an arm (6) with a curved free end (9) which is inserted in a hole (8) through the inner skin, so as to fit inside a vertical cell. One type fitting may consist of a threaded stem with a nut for retaining an angle-shaped cleat, attached to such the bracket arm. Other fittings may be used for different joints. |
