The piston rod (1) of the damper slides in seals (3) in the damper cover (2) and acts on an elastic medium (6) packed inside a small steel cylinder. The cylinder is located inside an outer cylinder (7) with a grease packing introduced via a nipple (8) to set the relative position of the damper. The damper is compact and simple. It provides large reaction forces within a small volume. The grease packing sets the rest position of the damper.
