A device for cutting strip material across its length has a single plate frame in which a tool slide is reciprocable by a toggle linkage driven by moving cylinders the piston rods of which are fixed to the frame. Fluid delivered by way of passages in the piston rods powers the movement of the cylinders for smooth vibration free action.
