PURPOSE:To provide a damping device of Dahlgren system which is designed to fully demonstrate its function as a damping system by using a chrome roller or fountain roller having a built-in source of drive for driving a group of rollers without obstructing their working space. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted so that ink distributed by ink distributing rollers 2 is applied to a printing plate 1' installed to the circumference of a plate cylinder 1 by inking rollers 3, 3'. A chrome roller 4 is brought to contact with the inking roller 3 and a fountain roller 5 which is partially immersed in damping water 7 in a fountain 6 is brought to contact with the chrome roller 4. Of these rollers, inside the main body of the chrome roller 4 or the fountain roller 5, a driving source (for example, electric motor, air motor, hydraulic motor, etc.) is internally installed to drive these rollers. For example, an induction electric motor 14 is installed inside the chrome roller 4 as a driving source and it drives these rollers. |
