<p>The melting-casting installation for metals with a high melting point utilizes a plasma electronic gun operating at pressures of about 10 - 2 torr. The configuration and the characteristics of the electron beam are determined by three vacuum housings connected by lock gates, and particularly: - the main housing of the oven wherein the plasma electron source is produced and directed at the surface of the rocking crucible acting as anode; - the degaseification housing of the casting mould is connected to the main housing by a slide closed lock gate in its upper portion; - the supply chamber and washing by emptying of the materials. The basic phases of the method (loading of the materials, melting, casting, preparation and replacement of the mold, solidification) may be independent from each other, but interdependent in a technological order. The solidification of the casting is controlled.</p> |
