<p>Metabolic control in diabetic patients is monitored by measuring the amount of non-enzymatic glycosylated amino acids and peptides in the urine of the patient. The method comprises treating the urine with a boronic acid to form a complex with the non-enzymatic glycosylated amino acids, peptides or mixtures thereof. The complex is separated and quantitatively analyzed for amino acids, peptides or mixtures thereof. A test kit for the measurement is also disclosed.</p> |
