PURPOSE:To increase corona ion transmittance for modulation, etc., and decrease attenuation by forming a photoconductive layer and an insulation layer successively on one surface side of the conductive member of a screen, charging the insulation layer positive or negative and sticking fine particles of a high polymer having a reversed polarity on the insulation layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive layer 3 is formed by a vapor deposition method or the like on one surface of a conductive member 2 of a screen, after which the 1st insulation layer 4 is formed from the exposure side of the member 2 to transfer paper side to such thickness at which potential increases gradually and in such a way that the entire surface of the layer 3 is covered therewith. Next, a screen 25 is mounted to a holding member 24, and a mixture of insulating fine particles such as a thermoplastic silicone resin or the like and magnetic powder is charged to the polarity reverse from that of the layer 4 of the screen after said layer is charged, and only the insulating fine particles are stuck on the layer 4 by using such mixture. Thereafter, the 2nd insulating layer 23 by heating each drum 24. In this way, the pass efficiency of corona ions is improved and the quantity of corona ions with an increase in retention times is decreased. |
