PURPOSE:To stabilize the latent image potential formed on a photoreceptor during continuous copying by constituting a photoconductive layer of a photoreceptor having an insulation layer on the surface by using M(P) type photoconductive particles and a P(M) type photoconductive binder resin. CONSTITUTION:As a binder resin for the photoconductive layer of a photoreceptor consisting of a substrate, a photoconductive layer and a surface insulation layer, a P type photoconductive binder resin (polyvinyl carbazole, polyvinyl anthracene, etc.) is used when photoconductive particles are of M type (CdS, CdSe, ZnO, etc.). When the photoconductive particles are of P type (CdTe, PbS, etc.), an M type photoconductive resin[polytetracyanoethylene, (n) type polyacetylene, etc.]is used. At the time of continuous copying, so-called rise and fall phenomena by which latent image potential is successively increased or decreased do not occur. |
