摘要 |
PURPOSE:To enable the detection of a trace of reducing gas ranging from 1- 100ppm dissolved in water by passing atmospheric air and a compressor air through an air refiner to oxidize a reducing gas present in the air before the passage into water. CONSTITUTION:Atmospheric air, a compressor air and an air packed into a cylinder are passed through an air refiner 1 and refined reducing the concentration of gas such as CO and carbon hydrate affiliated compound gas below 1ppm. The air refiner 1 uses an oxidizing catalyst such as a platinum-supported alumina to convert a reducing gas in the air acting as disturbing gas into CO2 and H2O by oxidation. The air thus refined is introduced into a sampling tank 2 for storing water 5 to be detected in which a reducing gas such as gas and organic solvent dissolved is trapped as a gas body with the refined air and brought into contact with a gas detection element 3 mainly composed of a metal oxide semiconductor. Changes in the electric resistance value of the gas detection element 3 is shown on a display 4. |
