PURPOSE:To avoid the influences affected by slipping of wheels, variation of wheel diameter, etc. and also influence of earth magnetism, by detecting moving speed of a moving object utilizing the acceleration thereof. CONSTITUTION:9.10 and 11 are acceleration detectors provided on a moving object, and accelerations are detected from forces applied to movable weights. The detector 9 detects acceleration in the forward-and-backward direction of the moving object, and the detector 11 detects the same in the upward-and-downward direction. This upward-and-downward direction acceleration signal is compensated by a compensating device 13 for an error due to inclination of the objector 10 detects acceleration in the rightward-and-leftward direction, and an error due to inclination of the object is compensated by a compensating device 14. An output of the compensating device 13 is a correct acceleration in the forward-and-backward direction. From an acceleration within a given period of time to be decided by a clock 15, a moving speed is obtained by a speed detector 16. From a rightward-and-leftward derection acceleration, a speed signal and a time signal, a moving direction is obtained by a direction detector 17. |
