PURPOSE:To enable two alarms to be discriminated from each other in an electronic timepiece in which a plurality of alarm times can be set, by a method whrein if two alarm times are the same, one of them is informed by means of an alarm sound, while the other is informed by means of an alarm mark. CONSTITUTION:The time set in an hour-minute register ALM in an alarm mode and the content of an hour-minute-second register TIME in a normal mode are compared with each other. When they coincide with each other, and if a daily alarm is being set, a daily alarm sound is generated. Next, coincidence between the hour-minute-second register TIME and salat time registers S1-S5 is judged. When the TIME and one of the registers S1-S5 coincide with each other, a salat number and a salat check mark light up and moreover, a salat alarm sound is generated if a daily alarm sound is being generated at that time. |
