<p>A machine for winding yarn packages on bobbin tubes (7-10) includes a winding spindle (5), driven by a motor (6), for the bobbin tubes, yarn traversing means (13-16) for forming the yarn packages on the bobbin tubes (7-10), respectively, first guides (36-39) for guiding yarns (18-21) to the bobbin tubes (7-10), respectively, yarn removal means (47) for removing waste yarn from the winding machine, a guide support (48), and further guides (43-46) carried on the guide support (48) for guiding the yarns (18-21) from the first guides (36-39) respectively, to the yarn removal means (47). The path of the yarns (18-21) between the first guides (36-39) and the further guides (43-46) lies over regions of the surfaces of the bobbin tubes (7-10), respectively, and the guide support (48) is movable to displace the yarns over the surfaces of the bobbin tubes axially of the spindle (5) to locations at which the yarns are gripped to begin winding them on the bobbin tubes.</p> |
