PURPOSE:To remove a sense of unease from viewers by storing a constant number of program numbers, indicating the kinds of character signals, all the time, by comparing them with a number that a user select, and by displaying ''stand- by'' when coincidence is obtained or ''erroneous selection'' when not. CONSTITUTION:A CPU9 follows the procedure of processing stored in a program memory 7 to store in a data memory 8 an invariably constant number of pieces of information on program numbers, stored in a buffer memory 1 in the order of arrival. A user, on the other hand, selects a character broadcast channel on a keyboard 15 and sends it to the CPU9. Then, the program numbers stored in the RAM8 are read out one after another and compared with the selected program number; when the both are coincident with each other, character and pattern information, showing a stand-by state, stored in the ROM7 is transferred to a display memory 11 and displayed on a display device 13. When the coincidence is not obtained, information showing an untransmitted program or erroneous selection is displayed as mentioned above. These new functions are provided to eliminate the sense of unease that the user has. |
