PURPOSE:To detect a runaway of a program, by setting the prescribed frequency of generation of the specific address within a certain period of time as the allowable number of times and detecting the addresses which are generated in the number of times more than the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:One of address registers ADR1-ADRn is designated, and the specific address is set. The allowable number of times of generation of the address within a certain period of time is referred to as N to be set to a register REG. Then the function of detection is started with the end of the initialization, and then an address comparator ACOMP compares the specific address set to the address register with addresses A00-A15 on an address bus. The number of times of coincidence of the comparison is counted by a counter CTR. Then the comparator CMP compares the contents of the counter CTR and the number of times N set to the register REG. If the contents of the CTR is larger than the said N, a runaway detection signal DET is delivered to generate an alarm. |
