PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a background data, by compressing the space part of the background data. CONSTITUTION:97 words beginning from the head of a background data 14 form a non-display part on a CRT, and this part is compressed to a word as shown by 16 of a background data 15. The head 3 bits are set up to show the space compression, and the number of spaces is stored in these 3 bits. In such a way, the background data of 97 words is reduced down to a word. Then the nondisplay parts of display positions (1,3)-(5,3) and (8,3)-(12,3) of a CRT12 are also compressed into a word as shown by 17 and 18 of the data 15. The head 3 bits are set up to show the space compression, and the number of spaces is stored in the 3 bits. As a result, the background data of 204 words is reduced down to 99 words by a data 14. |
