PURPOSE:To obtain an ion laser tube with easy discharge initiation and long life by a method wherein a projection on circumference is provided around the central region of graphite discs between an anode and a cathode. CONSTITUTION:A projection on circumference 13, 14, 15 is provided around the central region 5, 6, 8 of an anode 3 and all graphite discs 4, 10, 11. By this constitution spattering from the central region 5, 6, 8 is interrupted by projections 13, 14, 15 in spite of a long operation and is not attached to a spacer 16. Accordingly insulating resistance between the anode 3 and the cathode 7 can not be deteriorated, and an ion laser tube which initiates discharge easily for a long time and has a long life can be obtained. |
