PURPOSE:To accurately control by fitting a lever on a table through a hinge so as to rockable the lever around a horizontal axis line, and by providing a sample holder at one terminal of the lever while using an electromagnetic means for curring control over a sample. CONSTITUTION:On a movable table 14, a lever 16 is fitted through a hinge 15, such as a cross spring, so that the lever can swing around a horizontal axis line. At one terminal 16a of the lever 16, a sample holder 19 holding a sample 18 in an optional direction and at an optional angle is provided opposite a knife 17 and at the other terminal 16b of the lever 16, a linear electric driving mechanism 21 is provided through a counterweight 20. Thus, the linear electric driving mechanism which drives the lever with the holder held in a dynamically balanced state is used as a control means for obtaining thin sections of a sample for an electron microscope continuously, thereby performing accurate control. |
