PURPOSE:When forming a conductive film on the cover glass for phosphor display tube, to set the electrical resistance of the film to the desired value by performing the spattering while employing an alloy where 0.5-3wt% of indium is contained in zinc. CONSTITUTION:A segment 2 is formed on a glass substrate 1 while a phosphor material is provided to the segment 2. The power supply leads are arranged under the insulation layer 3 to supply power to the segment 2 by means of the external lead 4 and the through-hole. A grid 5, filament 6 are arranged while facing with the segment 2 then a cover glass 7 coated with a conductive film 9 is applied and sealed by a frit glass 8. Thereafter the film 9 and a terminal 10 fixed to the grid 6 are contacted. In a well-known spattering device, desired resistance can be provided to the film 9 by employing an alloy where 0.5-3wt% of indium is contained in zinc as the target. Consequently a display tube can be produced with high yield. |
