PURPOSE:To avoid the waste of the copy paper, by switching a tray arranged separately in case a jam arises with a sorter and thus assuring the ejection of the next copy paper. CONSTITUTION:The copy paper sent from a copier main body 1 is transferred to pins 41-410 by a conveyor belt 3 within a sorter 2. Then a copy paper detector consisting of a light emitting and receiving parts 5 and 6 detects whether or not the copy paper reaches the pins. At the same time, the number of sheets of the copy paper is displayed at display devices 71-710 respectively. In case a jam arises within the sorter 2, the resistance of a light receiver 6 varies. Then a jam signal is produced from a control circuit 11. A solenoid 13 is driven by the jam signal to switch the transfer route of the copy paper to a tray 8. Thus the copy paper is collected on the tray 8 after the occurrence of the jam. In such way, the next copy paper is assuredly ejected to avoid the waste of the copy paper. |
