PURPOSE:To eliminate flickering of a display at high speeds and improve the responsiveness of the display at low speeds by changing the hysteresis widths for changing the change-over levels of the display at the speed increasing and the speed decreasing according to vehicle speeds. CONSTITUTION:The pulse signal of frequencies corresponding to vehicle speeds from a sensor 7 is converted to an analog signal in an integrating circuit 4, and this signal is supplied to a comparator group 2 via a bleeder resistance 3. Thence, display segments 1 are lighted successively according to vehicle speeds by the outputs of the comparators 2. Resistances Ra-Rn for hysteresis are so selected that the hysteresis widths of the respective comparators 2a-2n of the comparator group 2 change according to vehicle speeds, for example, in proportion to vehicle speeds. In this way, the flickering of the display at high speeds is eliminated and the responsiveness of the display at low speeds is improved. |
