Complex cast IC engine inlet manifold - made of separate pressure cast parts adhesively bonded together with lugs crimped over tabs on opposite part

The cast manifold for an i.c. engine inlet manifold, consists of at least two separately pressure-die-cast parts. One of the parts is provided with all the connection flanges and both parts are assembled in fluid-tight manner pref. by using an adhesive followed by crimping at at least two points. The joint plane of the manifold pref. coincides with the axial plane of the manifold pipes except for the regions of the flanges (5). In these regions, one (1) of the cast parts is provided with a full pipe section (6) plus the flange. One of the parts is provided with U-shaped lugs (11) which correspond to tabs (12) on the other part (2).
