PURPOSE:To quickly cope with presence or absence of goods without breaking the contents of a price look-up (PLU) file, by constituting so that a PLU code can be preset irrespectively of presence or absence of goods. CONSTITUTION:A PLU file 12a is constituted of memory areas such as a PLU code A, a department code B, a unit price C, quantity D, amount E and status F, and each PLU code can be preset irrespectively of presence or absence of goods. Especially, in the status F, ''0'' is set in case there are goods and ''1'' is set in case of no goods, respectively, in every PLU code, by which the registration is allowed or inhibited. When setting the PLU file 12, one PLU is set to the PLU file 12a, by aligning a control switch 9 with an O/P position at first, subsequently operating a ten key 2a of a keyboard 2, inputting a PLU code, pushing a PLU key 2e, and also operating the ten key 2a, inputting a unit price and pushing an each department key 2b. |
