PURPOSE:To eliminate ununiforming in reading, by integrally photodetecting reflected light from the surface of the standard original member for a section extended to the total length of the main scanning section, and by using the read signal basing on the integral photodetection as data signals for correction. CONSTITUTION:Reading of a standard original 5' is performed under a condition where a motor 14 is driven and a belt 5' is turned in scuh a way that the endless belt 5' which is the standard original makes one rotation during the period in which the sensor 4 reads the standard original. A pulse encoder 16 is equipped to detect the position of the belt 5' and to let the belt 5' make a uniform rotation, and signal from the encoder 16 is returned to a motor driving circuit 17. Therefore, reflected light made incident to each photodetecting cell of the sensor 4 become light integrated for the total length of the main scanning section of the original, and reflected light of the same condition is made incident to each photodetecting cell. |
