PURPOSE:To maintain safety of a machinery and to enable saving of a maintenance expense and fuel cost, by a method wherein, under a normal condition to prevent leak from occurring in a regenerator, a relation of a turbine load to a differential pressure is measured, and an abnormal relation of the turbine load to the differential pressure is detected during the operation. CONSTITUTION:A differential pressure between combustion air 7 and 8 at an inlet and outlet of a regenerator against a turbine load is measured by a differential measure gauge 14 a a point of time when there is no leak in the regenerator 3 to find a relation of the measurements to the turnbine load. A relation of a differential pressure at a normal operation time of a turbine to a turbine load is then determined in a similar manner. The presence of leak at the insdie of the regenerator 3 is detected through the comparison of both measurements with each other. This enables maintaining of safety of a machinery and saving of a maintenance expense and a fueld cost. |
