PURPOSE:To improve processing tolerance and assembling tolerance, by forming a modulation electrode group and an acceleration electrode group integrally with insulating spacers by through fusing process. CONSTITUTION:A supporting plate 10, an insulating spacer 11, a lead frame 12, a flat electron source 14 including a hot cathode 13, an insulating spacer 15, a modulation electrode group 16, an insulating spacer 17, a modulation electrode group 18 and an acceleration electrode 20 are arranged successively on an back side substrate 8, while interposing a spacer 9, and a flat plate like panel 26 on which a belt-like phosphor layer 23 is formed is further arranged on the acceleration electrode 20, interposing a circular spacer 21. The modulation electrode group 16, the insulating spacer 17 and the modulation electrode group 18 are integrally formed. Furthermore, the acceleration electrode 20 is formed integrally with the insulating spacer 19. |
