PURPOSE:To give full scope to capacity of a four-wheel driving car by directing a driver to transfer from two-wheel driving to four-wheel driving in case the latter is desirable judging from a driving condition as a result of detection of difference in the number of rotations between a front wheel and a rear wheel. CONSTITUTION:As for a four-wheel driving car, when an output of a transmission 5 is transmitted to a rear differential device 9 by a propeller shaft 8, a partial output of the transmission 5 is transmitted to a front differential device 12 from a shaft 11, and transfer from two-wheel driving to four-wheel driving is performed by a select lever 7. In this case, detectors 14, 15 for the number of rotations are provided adjacently to each shaft 8, 11 respectively and their detected outputs are inputted to a judging device 16. In case rear wheels 3 slip causing a big difference in th number of rotations between the wheels 3 and the front wheels 2, requirement for a four-wheel driving is judged by the judging device 16, and transfer to the four-wheel driving is directed through turning on a light, with output of the judging device 16, to a lamp 18 on a panel 17. |
