PURPOSE:To make amplitudes of respective colors coincident with one another, by providing a storage element, where data for a white object is stored, in each chrominance signal system and by designating an address of this storage element by a pickup signal subjected to AD conversion and by controlling a gain control means by the address output. CONSTITUTION:Chrominance signal components of the output of a single tube image pickup element 1 for separating two frequencies are separated by BPFs 5, 6 and are supplied to gain control circuits 61 and 62 through detecting circuits 7, 8 and gain adjusting circuits 9 and 10. ROMs 57 and 58 are connected to gain control circuits 61 and 62 through AD converters 59 and 60 respectively. Data for a white object is stored in ROMs 57 and 58. Meanwhile, the image pickup output has low-band luminance components extracted by an LPF3, and they are used a signal, which designates an address of ROMs 57 and 58, through an AD converter 56. Thus, gain control signals corresponding to the luminance are outputted from ROMs 57 and 58, and gain control circuits 61 and 62 are so controlled that amplitudes of respective colors becomes constant. |
