Silica powder, calcarious mat'ls, water and reinforcing fibers are mixed and boiled at 80-90≦̸C for 6 hrs. During the reaction, solution of alkali metal salt, eg. water glass, is added in the slurry to accellerate the growth of Na- Tobermorite or Na-Xonotlite. Thus, the resulting slurry is poured into the mold, autoclaved at steam pressure 5- 30 kg/cm2 and dried to give the product with high heat resistance (max. application temp. 650-1000≦̸C). This invention does'nt need the use of agitating autoclave essential in common method.
